Mental health is still a topic that is not discussed enough in today’s society. As a creator, we see and feel the world in deeper ways than many others and being aware of practices to have emotional stability are crucial for our artistic well being.
In this webinar, we’ll cover topics like impostor syndrome, self sabotage, harmful self criticism and anxiety and how we can learn to manage these in our careers.
About Lolo Castany
Lolo Castany graduated in Psychology from the Central University of Venezuela with a Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She has a postgraduate certification in psychology for artistic performers and a certification in Counseling and Gestalt Therapy.
She studied theater acting and directing and has worked on more than 50 theater projects in different roles (actress, assistant director, stage manager, director, producer). She has been a professor at an acting academy in the subject of psychology applied to dramatic art and currently continues to teach these workshops individually.
She has worked with more than 700 artists on a psychological level in terms of character construction, anxiety management, stress, esteem, self-confidence, creative inhibition, among others. She has a co-investigation, published in Spain, on “Depression and Attitudes Towards Death in Actors”. She was also invited to the VII Conference on Psychology and Audiovisual and Performing Arts (2019) of the Official College of Psychologists of Madrid to give a presentation on the identification processes of the actor “The actor: from the identity gap to the post-creative duel” .
